Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect what we need to run your account and make your videos — your email, the images you upload, your prompts and the clips we generate. We don’t sell your data, and your library is private to you.

1. Who we are

Vidster (“we”, “us”) provides an AI video-generation service at this website. This policy explains what personal information we process when you use Vidster, why, and the choices you have. Questions can be sent through our contact page.

2. Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address and a securely hashed password (handled by our authentication provider; we never see your password).
Content you provide — the images you upload as seed frames and the text prompts you write.
Generated content — the videos created from your inputs, plus their settings (length, quality, audio), status and timestamps.
Preferences — default generation settings and library view options, saved so they follow you across devices.
Messages — what you send us through the contact form.
Technical data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and request times, used for security and debugging.

3. How we use it

To create and secure your account and sign you in.
To generate videos from your images and prompts, store them, and show them in your library.
To group related takes of the same shot (same seed image, similar prompts) in your library.
To respond to support requests and to prevent abuse, fraud and violations of our Terms.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your uploads or videos to train our own models.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors who handle data on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it:

Google Firebase & Google Cloud — authentication, database (Cloud Firestore) and file storage (Cloud Storage).
RunPod — GPU infrastructure that runs the video model. To generate a clip we send your prompt and, if you added one, a time-limited link to your seed image; the finished video is copied back into our storage.

5. Storage and security

Uploaded images and generated videos are stored in private cloud storage buckets. They are never public: the app shows them to you through short-lived signed links. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our cloud providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

6. Retention

We keep your account data, uploads and videos for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your content from active systems within 30 days; backups roll off on their normal schedule. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, reach us through the contact page (choose “Privacy”). We’ll verify the request comes from the account owner and respond within the time required by law.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Children

Vidster is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Cookies and local storage

We use only what’s needed to keep you signed in and remember your session. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

11. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
